Well... I guess variance had to hit me at some point,
I went on a heater and won about $1000 in two days
playing 0.50/1.00 6 max on full tilt. I really would
have wished that variance could have hit me on a
smaller pot...
I can beat that game, I know it... I just
need to not get crushed by brutal beats when I take shots.
Last time I took a shot at
that level, I lost a pot of the same size all
in preflop with pocket aces vs. jacks, of
course J on the turn... Shoot me.

Well that sucked. Runner runner is just the most brutal thing in this game.

My last session of cash games I was playing 1-2 NL and had doubled up. I played a hand, against another player who nearly had me covered where I trapped him on the flop. I smooth called his reraise preflop with AA - putting him on KK. The flop came 9 high. He bet a very big bet. So I decided to make a large reraise on the flop to try to get all in now. He moved in, I instantly called, he showed KK. And then hit runner runner clubs for a flush.

I haven't played cash games since. These types of beats at high limits are just brutal. Its not quite your 2k pot, but for me, losing a 750 pot was absolutely sickening.

I'm sorry about the beat. Guess you can be glad that people will shove with TPTK when you are holding the 2nd nuts... Man, that hand is just awful.
