I have started to mine the 14+1 turbo, rebuy satellites on full tilt. I've played 5 so far. Gotten 2 seats - one of which gave me $535 of cash, the other a seat into the 750K tourney. Also one 2nd for $166. Spent about $200 total, made $1236 -> profit roughly $1K. :D
I'm gonna keep playing these a lot. They are full of terrible players so its pretty easy to get pretty deep in every single one. Then its just about getting chips or getting out, and once you have chips, using em' to steal enough blinds to earn a top finish.
I just doubled up in the 750K, trapping a guy I had been needling a bit for about an hour.

Just donked off half my chips.
I had As6s in middle position and called a limper. A few more callers, blinds checked. Flop came AhTcxh. Checked to me, I bet about 3/4 the pot. The guy to my left calls. The turn is the Td. I check, figuring if he makes a small bet, I can move him in - getting him off the heart draw I initially put him on. If he checks, I give a free card, but keep the pot small. He bets about 1400 into the pot of about 2700. I move him all-in. He calls with Th9h for trips and the heart draw.
Half right doesn't count for much. I didn't improve and went from ~100th place to 700th at about 5000k in chips.

So, it wasn't my day afterall.
I picked up queens in the SB. UTG raises, guy to my right on the button pushes all in for about 9k, I have 28k. I figure he might have a big hand, but he might have AK, and I cannot throw queens away for 8k, and 2:1 odds. He has aces, and I lose nearly half my chips. Down to 16k.
Few hands later I make a raise UTG with 78s to steal the blinds. I get a caller on the button. The flop comes ace high, so I take a stab at it, betting a 3rd of the pot. My short stack opponent moves in for 6k more, and i have to fold my 8 high. Down to 14k.
Few hands later I pick up TT in the SB. The same short stack I had just folded to a few hands earlier makes a larger than normal raise in middle position (after a limper), I move all-in figuring I probably have the best hand. Pocket kings took another 10k of my chips leaving me crippled.
The very next hand its folded to me. I have J8os. There are about 1500 in blinds and antes out there, and I have roughly 3k left in chips. I need chips or I'm toast. This looks like as good a spot as any - I push. The BB calls with a5. I felt hopeful when the flop came QKT. But I missed on the turn and river and was eliminated in roughly 400th place...
I'm thinking that I should have probably folded the QQ and TT hands. I felt my opponents were strong and put my chips in anyway.
Prior to the QQ hand, I was in 80th place with 450 to go. I clearly was not in a dire need of chipping up.
Maybe I'll get a big luckier next week. And maybe I'll make less mistakes.
